Handcrafting and printing menus that brings the personality of Southern Comfort to life.
Southern Comfort is a barbecue popup restaurant at Johnson and Wales University. For this project, I was in a team of designers, and our job was to create deliverables (both print and web) for their restaurant. My deliverables were to create a large scale menu, a hand-held menu, and a qr code that leads to the pdf of the menu on a mobile device. For all of these elements, I wanted to incorporate the branding elements to capture the essence of the Southern Comfort brand, and also to make the menus cohesive with the rest of the deliverables. I used the color palette, the adaptive logo, the patterns and the typography to craft the menus. As far as the wooden menu, I laser engraved the logo into a dark stained wood to create a rustic aesthetic.
